About 10 days ago, (Mar 2nd) Senior Management at Blended Perspectives shifted the company to a remote-work model as a temporary response to the rapidly developing situation regarding COVID-19. As many other companies around the world make similar decisions, we want to assure everyone that this was done to uphold the quality and timeliness of our work. Aside from not being in our office, things will go on as normal.
The decision to begin enforcing remote work for our staff was not an easy one or one we took lightly. Many people, our team included, prefer the camaraderie and interaction of office work, but in times like these, safety must be our top priority. By working remotely, the risk of one staff member infecting several or all people in the office is eliminated – if one person becomes sick, the rest of the company can continue to work and serve our clients. The very nature of Atlassian’s collaborative enterprise products means that in situations like these, work can go on and companies can continue to operate with relatively little disruption.
We believe that this is the best course of action for us as a company, and although this is increasingly becoming the trend around the world, we understand that some may have questions about how this will impact their own world. If you have any questions at all please reach out to us and we will be happy to discuss and explain how our remote work model functions. Tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Slack all have inbuilt innate collaboration capabilities. In many respects we have been working virtually for many years now. You can too.
