Agile’s Best Practices for High Performing Teams

May 4, 2016

Agile’s Best Practices are as easy as 1-2-3!

We, at Blended Perspectives, are often asked what are some of Agile’s best practices to maximize team productivity. So, here are our thoughts.

Today’s customers crave a steady diet of all new and shiny features of which Agile practices are helping satisfy. By providing teams with a regular release rhythm they can keep persevering with sprint after sprint. Check out the Atlassian infographic below produced by Atlassian for a visual representation.

The Atlassian infographic above also highlights the importance of teamwork. Agile not only clearly outlines that teams can thrive within an Agile framework, but also elsewhere. However, our expert opinion, is that for the best Agile results, organizations should fully embrace Agile practices across the entire organization. This not to say that organizations won’t experience success by adopting some Agile practices, however, not the best results. In conclusion, Agile practices in an Agile orientated environment can often result in teams completing more work than initially thought.

Another recommendation is to manage risk for a burn-down analysis, as we believe this can almost derail any team. However there is more to come on that in a later post.
