Our People

Martin Cleaver

Martin Cleaver, M.Sc., MBA

Having worked extensively as a manager for Arthur Andersen, planning and implementing large-scale systems integration solutions, Martin’s grand “ah-ha” moment was when he realised that few people across the enterprise really care about the depths of component architectures, distributed systems or grid computing, no matter how profoundly these can alter the nature of computing and power the long-term agility of a company. It’s the means share perspective, with key people in the other disciplines that drives competitive advantage.

Retraining in Business school, Martin’s attention focussed on the dramatic effects of siloed thinking: that the vast majority of professionals are trained in disciplines that largely serve to confine an individual’s understanding. Organization-wide, this results in suboptimal performance due to the gaps between the perspectives between disciplines.

Martin is also a director of Comalatech, a prominent Atlassian Add-On vendor with award winning plugins, Ad hoc WorkflowsAd hoc Canvas, and Canvas for JIRA and Canvas for Confluence.
